Westover Air Force base is located approximately 9 miles to the south. Frequent heavy C5 activity in the area flying approaches to KCEF. Barnes airport is located approximately 12 miles to the southwest. F15 activity there.

taxiing to the runways
Do not angle aircraft for run-up on taxiway leading to RW 32 due to gravel and stones on edges that could potentially ding the prop.

Run-up can be done in keyhole at the beginning of RW 32 if necessary but not preferred.
