Covington is within 30 miles ring of ATL and just outside of class B airspace.
While traveling west plan your route avoiding ATL class B or file IFR plan as slow VFR traffic is often denied in class B.
While traveling east toward beaches (Savannah, Hilton Head, St Simon Island etc) be sure to check for MOAs. Usually these are hot. Also there are few restricted airspaces along with coast.
Watch for para-jumpers at Monroe airport (D73) and tune 122.8 if you are planning to go in that direction. Monroe is about 12 miles NW of KCVC.
City of Covington is on south side of airport. So to keep air traffic away from city, airport has left pattern for runway 10 and right pattern for 28. Be extra careful on calm days, as there can be head on traffic on downwind. Announce your position more often
Pilots should land only on hard surface with 3000 ft or longer runway as airplane has wheel pant that covers ¾ wheels.
