This airplane is in stellar shape! Just returned from a 750nm week-long trip and 62885 was a great airplane to do it in! The King avionics stack is missing its autopilot, so for long flights be ready to hand fly, but other than that - it's what you'd expect for a well kept Cessna 172!
Fine late-model, analog-panel Cessna 172S Skyhawk, flown as part of a challenging and enjoyable OpenAirplane checkout. Looking forward to taking it out again.
Very well maintained aircraft available for a reasonable rate.
I highly recommend Trident Aircraft ! Knowledgeable and friendly staff !
Great airplane with modern steam gauge panel, strong engine. Door is a bit tricky to close and open, but fun to fly as any C172.
Mechanically excellent, but the avionics are aging. It has an old GPS without moving map and the autopilot appears to have been removed. Great airplane for VFR flying. Service at Trident was excellent.
I did my first Open Airplane check ride in this one, a couple of years ago. It shows a bit of wear and tear inside, but it does earn its living as a trainer, after all, and once in the air, where it matters, it performs by the POH perfectly and the rigging is excellent. One of the nav/comms was out -- for servicing, I presume -- and while the ADF is placarded as inoperable, it does work, so it's fun to switch it on and tune in the odd AM radio station for inflight entertainment. Trident service at Bay Bridge was top notch , with a prompt response to my reservation request and Wendy (the CFI on duty on the day we flew) welcoming and helpful in every regard.
N963TA is the C172 on the field. Airframe freshly painted and clean cabin. Staff super helpful. Avionics were acceptable.
