More Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft, and this one is fully loaded.
The flight deck is powered by the Garmin G1000® avionics suite.
This wasn't my first experience with N17409. It was the first Skyhawk I flew at EMU when I started my collegiate flight training. It was one of the best aircraft in the fleet and the only thing that's changed is its location. It's still a superb Skyhawk to fly. Controls are tight and responsive, power is strong, and it tracks straight as an arrow with very little rudder input when trimmed correctly.
*My only squawk with the aircraft is that the GPS database is out of currency since the end of June. This is not a major issue, but reduces the amount of usefulness the G1000 as you cannot legally use it for navigation. Make sure you have a tablet and another electronic chart device for backup, or paper charts when you fly this aircraft.*
I fully intend to fly this plane again in the future! Overall it is a fantastic aircraft.
First time renting with Troy Air Experience and flying this aircraft. Aircraft was clean inside and out and flew amazingly well. All controls and avionics were precise and in working condition. Will most definitely fly this airplane again.
